GWEN STEFANI LAS VEGAS
Superstar Gwen Stefani is making her way to Las Vegas for a twenty-five date residency that will see her performing a series of incredible live shows at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino from February 27th through to November 2019. Titled Just A Girl after the hit No Doubt single that was released 1995, the residency promises to be full of Stefani’s signature bright colours, creative staging and sharp dance moves.
Life and career
Stefani blasted her way into the public eye as the frontwoman of No Doubt. Although the band had been together since their formation in California in 1985, their breakthrough came with the release of Just A Girl, followed up by the further hit singles Spiderwebs and Don’t Speak, a ballad which reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and helped to make the album Tragic Kingdom a huge overnight success. Since then, the band has won multiple Grammys and sold millions of records across the world.
Stefani’s solo career
In 2004, Stefani’s solo career began after No Doubt went on hiatus, with the release of her debut album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. in November. With a huge range of styles including electropop, hip hop, disco and dance-rock, it was an eclectic range of songs that garnered excellent reviews from both critics and music fans, with huge hit singles including What You Waiting For?, Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl, which earned Stefani her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 with its incredibly catchy beats and iconic ‘B-A-N-A-N-A-S’ chorus. She found further success with her second album The Sweet Escape, released in 2006, before No Doubt made their triumphant comeback in 2009 with a national tour and an album, Push and Shove, released in September 2012.
Since then, Stefani has made live appearances both with No Doubt and as a solo artist, before making a sidestep into a TV career when she became a coach on the hugely successful talent show The Voice in 2014. She released her comeback single Baby Don’t Lie in November of the same year, followed by her album This Is What The Truth Feels Like in 2016. She’s a hugely successful artist whose talent and incredible stage presence will make her a massive Las Vegas hit.
